California Prayer Guide 2012

Nevertheless we made our prayer unto God, and set a watch day and night. Nehemiah 4:9

Join us as we build a wall of righteousness one prayer at a time.

For much time now, the USRPN has been championing a call to BOTH prayer and action; prayer activism. Our goal is to inform the Body of Christ concerning key issues across the nation so that they can not only pray about these issues, but also take action through civic involvement. We call California to join is in this goal and trust this prayer guide will help to assist you. Throughout the course of 2011 we’ve heard from God’s prophets that we are at a tipping point and no more business as usual. The FastForward campaign is a clarion call to the Ekkelsia. We recognize our nation is at a critical juncture and we are responding.

California has the God appointed honor of a forefront call in this election

August 2010 Dr. Cindy Jacobs prophesied to California, “The Lord would say to you California I am making you, I am giving you as the prayer network great authority to shift the nation says the Lord. The Lord says to you there are seeds of prayer that are in the ground of California – generational prayers that I am getting ready to answer not just your prayers says the Lord. For I have been waiting for those I could give a mantle to says the Lord, who could be those who stand for legacy in this state…. and the Lord says, I am anointing and appointing this state particularly to shift for the next election and the Lord says this next election is key for California for I desire to bless this state says the Lord. I love this state and I desire to shift it but the Lord says you are at a ‘tipping point’……

Family and Marriage

Divorce is California’s most destructive epidemic. The divorce rate in California is a staggering 75 percent. “For many years, California has been known as the Divorce Capitol of the World, but today’s marriage dropout rate is shocking—- even by California standards…. Something must be done about California’s divorce rate. It is tearing apart the fabric of our society.” A marital state of emergency needs to be declared!! Sited by http://www.californiality.com

On November 4, 2008, California voters approved Proposition 8 by a margin of almost 600,000 votes. Proposition 8 placed into the California Constitution the same language that voters had passed by 61% of the vote in 2000. ‘Marriage is between one man and one woman.’

Although this bill was passed in 2008, Judge Vaughn Walker ruled California’s ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional in 2010. In 2011 the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals was to rule on Judge Walkers ruling but was reluctant to do so – this matter is still in the courts. Cry out for righteous judgment in the gates.

Last year the California State Legislature passed Senate Bill 48 and Governor Jerry Brown signed it into law. SB 48 is also known as ‘California’s so-called “gay history” bill’. SB 48 passed in the Assembly 50-26 and in the Senate 23-14. A total of 72 Democrats and 1 Republican (Nathan Fletcher – San Diego) voted in favor of SB 48. This bill required curriculum that is positive toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other minority figures. But it also prohibited curriculum that reflects adversely on the same groups. The Los Angeles Times condemned the new law by noting, “Real history is richer and more complicated than feel-good depictions.” SB-48 took effect January 1, 2012 – - Capitol Resource Family Impact along with other pro-family individuals and organizations remain committed to the goal of reversing SB 48. 700,000 signatures will be required to get a new initiative on the 2012 ballot. Sited by http://stopsb48.com/

STAND UNITED IN PRAYER AND DECLARATION

  • For the required signatures to reverse SB-48 and for an awakening among Christians and local churches in California to take action in regards to these and other vital causes
  • For revelation of the importance of the family to the value system of society in California
  • That abortion will be eradicated from our state and a strong voice for the unborn will continue to speak
  • For the hearts of the fathers/mothers and the children to turn toward one another in love

Family and Marriage

Declare: Marriage is defined as between a man and a woman – this matter is settled in heaven therefore let it be settled on earth. For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. Gen 2:24

AFTER HAVING DONE ALL TO STAND STAND IN FAITH

  • For marriages to be strengthened and that covenant breaking spirits of divorce will not gain hold
  • For a turning of hearts – husband to wife / wife to husband and for their eyes to be opened to the marriage covenant – till death do us part. Matthew 19:1-9
  • Pray that the children and the youth will honor their mothers and fathers

Ekklesia (Church the overarching mountain)

California’s past revival history includes the 1906 Azusa Street Revival, the 1923 revival at the Angelus Temple and the Jesus Movement in 1967. Once again it is time for a powerful move of Godin our state and in our nation. The Lord has said there is a youth revival coming to California again. Join us as we contend for open heavens over California.

And the Lord says I am going to start breaking out among the Asians of Los Angeles even in Chinatown, there’s going to be a great move of God coming to Chinatown in San Francisco and Los Angeles and I literally see these Chinese anointed young leaders that are going into these places, these pockets of resistance for the gospel. And the Lord says, I am going to move in a great way, you are going to loose a youth revival for a Jesus people revival is coming again and it’s going to come like a mighty rushing wind and like a flood of the Spirit says the Lord. Cindy Jacobs August 2010.

STAND IN COVENANT ALIGNEMNT AND AGREEMENT WITH US

  • That the church to takes her place as the Ekklesia; the legislative and governing body
  • For awakening and a mobilization toward civic activism, with a focus on righteous voting
  • For Christians to respond who are called to run for public offices
  • Individually and as a church body we’d be awakened to the condition of our own heart as we cry out for God’s mercy
  • For a spiritual awakening and hunger for holiness among Christian leaders
  • Pray for California to be awakened to God’s unfailing unconditional love and follow in obedience because we love God and one another
  • The Lord has called the church in California to be a city set upon a hill. Declare with us that our light will not go out and we will have a continuous supply of oil in our lamp and keep it burning.

Electoral Events -Elections 2012
